  • On Sunday during the sermon , I text-messaged a Israeli friend who was born in Jerusalem “Happy Christian Sabbath “

I think she took it rather well.

We r now trying to kill each other on getting the higher test scores in class.

    She is winning .

  • Once in fellowship, we were discussing how the beauty and wonders of God’s creation make the proof of existence plain to everyone. And Henry went around and asked everyone in the circle to give an example of the beauties of creation that we see.

Everyone said either the sunrise or the stars.

    I said Jessica Alba.

    Awkward.

  • Very cliche. Some lines make me blush because of the cheese. Its hard to sympathesize for the main human underdog-type character Sam, because all I wanted to do is to punch him in the nose. Enter token black guy.Why in these types of movies, the kids are always geniuses, and the adults are always ignorant morons….very obvious demographic this movie is geared towards. Typical Michael Bay.

But otherwise, a well made movie with plenty of action and awesome special affects. 80′s nostagics will not be disappointed…Optimus Prime got his lazer axe and Megatron got his lazer mace. Wished they used Megatron and Starscream’s originial voice actors too, since they have such distinct voices in the cartoon.

Volkswagon must be mad when the movie put an old VW Bug, right next to the old Camaro in the used car lot. As most fanboys will know, Bumble Bee was originally a VW Buggy, but in this movie he becomes a hot not-yet released Chevy Camaro. Its probably a nod to the fans, but poor Volkwagon. Its ok. Its hard to see a Volkswagon Beetle protecting anything anyway.

I had a awesome time watching it. And looking forward for its not-so-subtle-hinted sequel.

    ok new surgery today:

A probe, with a crab-claw mechanism at the end, is inserted in the disc through an open incision. A piece of bone from the vertebrae is removed so the probe can have access to the nerve. The bulging of the disc will be extracted by the claw. Afterwards, the nerve is tested to make sure its elastic and not being pressed on.

  • The faithful Christian and atheists have more in common then we know.

I’ve been Youtubing quite alot, and I find myself cheering along with atheists. Here’s why.

Atheists often do not believe in God because of the hypocrisy of the faithful, and the manipulation of the intellect through fear and guilt. There is really no better argument against Christianity then a preacher who manipulate people who trust in him to lead them to God..to get things like fancy cars, Rolex watches, fancy suits, private jets..while their contributors to their ministry are struggling families who gave their finances out of a faithful heart.

Jesus had the harshest words to the pharisees when He was on earth. Not the tax collectors. Not the prostitutes. He was downright angry at the pharisees.

So as I seen these atheists who are out their making documentaries of false faith healers and other religious manipulators, I can’t help but to cheer for them. Because they show you who are the victims. Elderly women inflicted with cancer. Wheelchair-confined children.

Atheists are right to be angry. Christians better be angry. I know Jesus surely was.

The church is certaintly a place where people can go to promote themselves, in the guise of “for the glory of God”.
They name ministries after their own names, credit things for themselves. Have fancy books with their big white teethy grin on the covers that tells you how to be prosperous…and somewhere in there they mention God. Self-help books and Christian books have reached a hazy boundary..if at all. One says you can be rich and confident through the ” inner you”….the Christian ones say you can be rich and confident through the “inner you” also..and God is gonna help you. Sell sell sell.

    On the flip side….

As I am also watching Dateline’s “To Catch A Predator”, they made a sad comment about one of the would-be child sexual predators. “…then he said something that no longer surprises us….this man said he is a minister in a church…” This show had 3 men who either are church ministers, or who profess their love for God. One of the Myspace of these child sex solicters quoted : “Jesus ROCKS!” The producers of this show are no longer are surprised that church ministers solict sex with minors, but see it as “typical”.

As I look at these men, I reflect on the nature of sin. And how it affects such a diverse group of men. These men are from all races, professions, marital status, and age. Christian men certainly are not immune to sexual temptation

Some Christians and Christian literature may label these men “so-called Christians”. Come on. Why can’t they except the probality that these men ARE Christians. They don’t cease to be Christians when they become weak and get exposed on national television to be a child molester. We truly must be a church of restoration…not demonization.

No preacher was more disgraced on television then Jim Bakker. (He was the guy that had sexual scandal with Jessica Hahn, and amongst other allergations). From Wiki:

“Bakker was indicted on federal charges of fraud, tax evasion, and racketeering. In 1989, after trial in Charlotte, Judge Robert Potter convicted Bakker of fraud and conspiring to commit fraud and sentenced him to 45 years in federal prison. Bakker’s associate, Richard Dortch,
senior vice-president of PTL and associate pastor of Heritage Village
Church, also went to prison. In 1992, Bakker and his wife Tammy Faye
were divorced at her request. Billy Graham visited Bakker in prison, as did his son, Franklin Graham, repeatedly saying, “Jim Bakker is my friend.”

I read somewhere that when Bakker was in jail mopping the kitchen, he saw Billy Graham visiting him, he dropped his mop, fell on his knees, and wept.

Love the atheist. We, as faithful and loving Christians, have much in common with them. We really must talk more.
